I love being inspired.  That is why I attend art galleries, art shows, craft sales, and why I read books, magazines and blogs.  It is so fun to see what is happening out there.  Awhile back I came across the piblication CLOTH, PAPER, SCISSORS and I fell in love.  The mixed media, creative, anything goes nature of the art in this magazine are liberating.

One of my favourite subjects in art is women, so I came across an article by Kelli Rae Roberts in the Nov/Dec 07 issue in which she shares how to make one-of-a-kind patchwork collage paintings.  This inspiration led to creating.  Here are some of the results, some finished, some not.

My favourite new technique I learned with these paintings is how much fun it is to paint with a Breyer!!

bonne amie cards

A few years ago a friend and I started a little card business.  We didn’t get too far, but it was great fun while it lasted.  Here are a few of my favourites from our big card party.

I still make my own cards, but not for sale these days.  I will update a few of my new styles at another time.  It is amazing how over time we change the look of what we create.

To create or not to create…

Mostly this blog is just for me.  I want some place to record my creative endeavours.  If you happen to visit – welcome.
